They were about to burst out of the BioDome starter thingy, so I potted them up in MiracleGro potting soil, which I moistened. Then everyone sat out in indirect sun for about 15 min. Poor little tomatoes, they were all droopy and wilty, so I gave them a good solid drink. Watered the peppers, too. It always amazes me how these droopy little baby ( Read more... )

The other day my boyfriend and I bought some shucked peas at the farmer's market and when we went through them before cooking them we discovered that one was sprouting so we wrapped it in a damp paper towel and its little root is growing at a very quick pace ( Read more... )

Tomorrow will be the first garden planting of the year. Garden or English peas. I finally came to grips with the fact that I'm not a fan of sugar snap type peas so I won't be growing them this year.
